A little more about me.
My background is mostly systems and networking, with more recent professional and personal experience in security. I currently work as a Security Analyst in an MSP environment, where security work is mixed in with systems, networking, support, and general troubleshooting.
Security is where I want to keep growing.
Most of my recent personal time has been focused on penetration testing. I recently completed HTB's CPTS, which showed me that I still need to improve my methodology, note taking, and reporting. I am also starting to prepare for OSCP and have started focusing more on Active Directory attacks to get ready for it.
I am also spending time exploring DFIR, threat intelligence, OSINT, and threat hunting. I have not settled on one narrow specialty, but I want to keep moving toward more hands-on security work and keep building on the systems and networking background I already have.
Where my experience comes from.
Security Analyst
At a small MSP, my role covers a broad mix of security and general IT. I work across client systems and networks, handling security-related work alongside administration, troubleshooting, support, and incident response. It has given me a practical view of how security fits into the systems people actually rely on day to day.
IT Support Specialist
My time in site IT support built most of my hands-on foundation in endpoints, networking, and infrastructure. I supported a busy warehouse environment across Windows, macOS, and Linux, while working through the device, access, network, and site issues needed to keep operations running.
Army National Guard
My military experience combines geospatial engineering, systems support, technical leadership, and security responsibilities. I have worked with sensitive and classified systems, supported secure environments, and handled work where access control, compliance, documentation, reliability, and procedural discipline all matter.
